The Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG protocol) is an international standard within the public and private sector that is used to measure and report greenhouse gas emissions. Categorised using Scopes we can easily see how we as a company are performing within specific areas.
Scope 1
Covers direct emissions that a company generates while performing its business activities,
Scope 2
Covers indirect emissions from purchased energy.
When reporting this standard, these gases are converted into carbon dioxide equivalents (CO2e).
